  • Can online order be tracked back to what address the PC was used at?

Posted by admin on October 15th, 2009 and filed under used pc |

There was a charge on my credit card from a department store that I didn’t place. They say the order was an online order placed. Can they track the address to where the PC was used to place the order. The order was sent to an empty apartment.

The store can trace the order based off of the IP address of the computer that placed the order, but they more than likely won’t. What you need to do is call your bank, and let them know what happened. And let the credit report companies know.
