Depends on drivers … Depends on drivers and software requirements - Linux, being the only real alternative, can be made quite energy-efficient and it has everything you need for web browsing (barring ActiveX) and can be made virtually hack-proof (something you’ll need when connecting to insecure networks). Windows 7 is going to have better driver support, but is power-hungrier by default, and has a larger software library, but needs expensive third-party tools to make as secure as possible.
