      There have been decent results running games on the eee 901. The question pertained to games made around 2003, and people are running some games pretty well on it.

      It’s a real PC. You can do anything that fits in the requirements.
      There is no cd built-in, but you can connect a USB based drive. The Atom processor is odd, in that it’s about the performance of an older p4 at 1.6ghz or a new Intel mobile core at around 1ghz, but for some tasks the Atom seems to fit the GPU for multimedia tasks better.

      There are some vids floating around youtube of people playing some relatively modern games in Windows on it.
