Ubuntu is such a good operating system!!! OMG wow theres so much useful stuff that ubuntu offers. I love drawing fire on the screen and inverting the colors and browsing the internet via my little cube. OMG its far more superior to anything i’ve ever seen. Final verdict being if your computer either blows or your around 8 this is the operating system for you :)

      Got to use compiz …
Got to use compiz fusion. The dock is defunct on this too - AWN is much more widely used.

Try LastXP. It has the look of Vista without the crappy vista kernel. With the plugins I have I can do the same thing with it as shown above.

    5. XxMEVANSxX Says:

      Thanks for that …
Thanks for that info i already daught why my friend doesnt know what beryl is but has thoose effects

    6. nversus Says:

      Don’t “use” beryl, …
Don’t “use” beryl, beryl and compiz got together and now it’s “compiz fusion”, if your distro is ubuntu, it already comes with it installed, just enable effects in System > Preferences > …Appearance? I dont know ’cause I’ve got it at spanish.

    7. XxMEVANSxX Says:

      lol i tried …
lol i tried installing beryl and al i got was a ton of files

    8. fernbap Says:

      LOL! “proprietary …
LOL! “proprietary version”! In other words, it is not windows, just another third party product. If you mean to say that “official” is good, then you are sooooo wrong! Just look at the “official” flash plugin from adobe :D I don-t need anymore from you, i already know what you are, and will stick to the primary youtube rule: do not feed the trolls.

    9. ismouton Says:

      Proprietary …
Proprietary software can be included with GPL software, but it simply cannot be linked against GPL libraries. SRSLY GTFO fanboy.

    10. ASCII808 Says:

      yes with macdrive …
      yes with macdrive noobie cakes.

    11. JamesManes Says:

      Wrong. They are not …
Wrong. They are not opensource. There are opensource versions of the drivers that do not support 3D accel but they are not the official nvidia drivers. Srsly gtfo fanboy. Win7 comes with the proprietary version of the driver btw dumbass.

    12. fernbap Says:

      You are outdated. …
You are outdated. Since nvidea opened their sources, the linux community created an excelent nvidia driver that comes with all major distros, working out of the box. Microsoft only now will have it, when windows 7 will be released. Copying Linux again.
Anyway, you know as well as i do that the reason some proprietary drivers don’t come pre-installed in linux distros is because of their license. An open source distro must not include proprietary software. You are not being honest again.

    13. JamesManes Says:

      And you must …
And you must download Nvidia drivers when windows 7 comes with them. Your point?

    14. fernbap Says:

      you said it all. …
you said it all. You have to download a driver so that you “support” ext2 and 3 IN windows. It is not supported BY windows.
however, you demand that everything is supported BY Linux.
      Talking about double standards…

    15. JamesManes Says:

      Actually EXT 2/3/4 …
Actually EXT 2/3/4 is supported in windows :D I just downloaded the driver for it. Works…

    16. Rika4chan Says:

      Sure, ext2/3/4 XFS …
Sure, ext2/3/4 XFS ReiserFS JFS are all well supported in windows.

    17. ismouton Says:

      OSX defaults to …
OSX defaults to formatting flash drives as FAT32, so Windows would read it. Windows has drivers for almost all file systems so GTFO and STFU.

    18. fernbap Says:

      You need to update …
You need to update yourself. All “major” formats. I though you had said “all”. Lame…
You write a document on a mac. You save it to a flash pen. You get it to windows, and windows won’t read it. You put it on a linux machine, linux will read it and open Office will open the document. Period. Get your facts right, M$ fanboy

    19. ismouton Says:

      Windows can read …
Windows can read almost any kind of partition.

    20. JamesManes Says:

      Uhh the MS office …
Uhh the MS office version for mac is the same thing with a different UI. I have used it, I know. You haven’t, you don’t.
OpenOffice cannot export to docx, which is the current format. You know what exports to all major formats and reads them? MS office. Can’t read other partitions? Is that the best you can come up with? Pathetic. If you use windows you don’t need to dual boot with linux. Windows does everything linux can do and more.

    21. ismouton Says:

      M$? What is M$?
      M$? What is M$?

    22. JamesManes Says:

      lulz
      lulz

    23. fernbap Says:

      You are not being …
You are not being honest, as usual.
“MS Office works on macs”. No, The mac version of M$ Office works on macs. Open office read all M$ Office formats and many more, and limux can access all windows or mac partitions to read the files in the first place. Open Office is the only office that is compatible with 100% of the market.
as to the photoshop issue, Photoshop is not a M$ nor Linux product, so this is not the place.

    24. ismouton Says:

      Fuck Snow Leopard. …
      Snow Leopard. ;D

    25. JamesManes Says:

      “M$ Office …
      “M$ Office compatible with windows”

Yea and Windows has 97% of the worlds market share, and MS office works on Macs too sooo… yea. I guess you think 2% of the market = worldwide compat? lololol. Office 07 can export and read .odts so your point is moot.

Btw, can you run 64 bit photoshop natively on linux?
