August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
Yeah my point is we …
Yeah my point is we have a sleep function moron, and hibernate. If we choose to use it we can. We can continue with all our open windows as well. You don’t know anything.
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
it is not a lie.. …
it is not a lie.. most macbook user use sleep function, it is a nice function because the next day i can just continue with all the open windows i left yesterday
drain power? yes, but we don’t really care.. its not that much anyway.. just read the mac forum..
and mac is Unix-like, just like Linux.. which is still related to the discussion
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
Honestly, now you …
Honestly, now you are just making up lies. I could leave my computer on sleep constantly if I wanted to, but why would I when it takes like only a minute to boot up. So I can drain energy, and wear out my hardware quicker. Sounds real logical…. The only time I use sleep function is if I’m going to dinner or something and know that I will use it later.
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
you say that …
you say that because you restart your computer everyday…
Linux and mac user usually don’t, when I am at work I use one space for work. I put it to sleep, take back to my home and use another space for chatting and email. Tomorrow when I go back to work I switch back to my work space. I can continue at wherever I stop, you can’t do that in windows (you always shut down)
You can say this takes a lot of memory, but it is still less than what vista used for useless stuff.. peace

Yeah… Coding….. …
Yeah… Coding…… What we all do in our spare time. LOL!!!! Only a linux user would say this. I would argue that grouping of items on a taskbar is just as practical.
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
The only reason you …
The only reason you down it is because you can’t do it on Windows. I’m tire of paying for bug fixes. And mindow 7 is just that. Linux is better then windows, and from now on I’m sticking with Linux.
Linux for everrrrr
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
Way cool!! because …
Way cool!! because of this, I now use multple desktops all the time on my Linux machines, even with my netbook and x60 tablet. ..in fact, when I’m using windoze, (not often), I find myself feeling totally boxed in…wish windows would add this stuff…
THIS IS COOL!!
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
lies, when ur …
lies, when ur coding and got over 30 windows open, this is number 1 solution
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
The only reason …
The only reason anyone would ever need virtual desktops is because their desktop is messy, and when they open multiple applications it’s so disorganised they have to drag the applications to a new virtual desktop. This something that doesn’t concern Vista or Windows 7 users.

Nothing different …
Nothing different to the multiple desktops you can find, just to mention one, in KDE. And in KDE it’s just one click on a button and you have another desktop, without the need of rotation.
August 18th, 2009 at 1:04 am
no not useless, …
no not useless, this 3d cube gives the user 6 blank desktops and allows them to switch between these desktops quickly, meaning you can have a word processor in one part of the desktop and a web page with information in another
