I need a bag thats reliable and will protect my laptop but won’t fall apart on me anytime soon but it also has to be cheap, somthing in the $30 range perferablly, but has space so that I can fit Text books in it for classes…. any suggestions?

Why don’t you get a totebag to put it in and then drop it inside your backpack for school. My husband has used a backpack for years-he rides 1-2 hours a day with his laptop on his back. We usually pay 30-40 dollars for a somewhat padded one-you can get fancy but if you look you can do just fine. I would check Ross and other outlet stores-you’d be surprised.
