When will the laptops have windows 7 installed on it?

Posted by admin on October 21st, 2009 and filed under laptops | 8 Comments »

Right now almost everyone knows that windows 7 is going to come out on October 22nd. But when will the laptops come with it integrated?

So far I’ve seen that most computer brands offer you the opportunity to upgrade your vista but since I’m planning to buy a new one it don’t mind waiting until they come with it already installed.

Windows 7 will be preloaded onto computers on October 22nd. For more Windows 7 information head to http://www.windows.ca

What are some laptops with a long battery life?

Posted by admin on October 13th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 3 Comments »

I’m thinking about getting an HP Elitebook with 24 hours of battery. Is there any other cool looking laptops with a battery life over 10 hours with a disk reader?

when it comes to laptops and ESPECIALLY LAPTOPS you should NOT be concerned about how it looks at all. the first thing that should come to mind is the Specs. ive seen friends get so excited about how theyre laptop looks and then a year later they need to buy a new one. thats what HP and Dell try to do. make everyone think theyre laptops are the best because they look cool or you can customize the look of the cover. here is a good laptop that will look pretty cool anyways and have alot of battery life there is 17 inch and 14 inch if your looking for small or big laptops. never mind im sorry i looks like dell discontinued theyre inpiron series i cant fint it/ but if you happen to see it in a store its called the inspiron 15. i think with a 9 Cell battery it can last up to 9.3 hours.

How can some laptops can sit for hours and not heat up but mine heats up in an hour?

Posted by admin on October 5th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 3 Comments »

Without a cooler, my laptop heats up in an hour. Other laptops I’d seen don’t. Is there anything I can install inside the laptop to prevent the heat to build up? That way I don’t need to bring my cooler around.

Do you have an older model laptop? If so, most older models have overheating issues. They have several built-in fans to disperse heat away from the CPU (processor).

Why do the newer laptops have the touchpad to the left?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 2 Comments »

My laptop is 2 years old, and it has the touchpad in the middle, and so did all the other laptops we were looking at, at the time. Now all the laptops I see have the touchpad moved to the left. Why is that?

because if you put your palms on the palmrest of your laptop, like you are ready to type, you will find that if you rotae your right hand counterclockwise on the ball of your hand (meat of the thumb), your fingers don’t sweep over the middle. They sweep more to the left side of center. This is why most new laptops have off center, to the left, touchpads.

    it is more ergonomic.

Does anyone know any laptops which will play The Sims 3 in High settings?

Posted by admin on September 21st, 2009 and filed under laptops | 4 Comments »

I’m hoping to purchase a new laptop soon which will be able to play The Sims 3 in High settings but I don’t know which one is right for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions on any laptops which will be able to play The Sims 3 in High settings?

(The cheaper the laptop, the better - as long as it can still play the game in High settings)

    Thanks.

Is the bundled software that comes with Toshiba laptops pre-installed or can u choose what u want to install?

Posted by admin on September 17th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 3 Comments »

I have been looking at some Toshiba laptops on their website trying to choose one to buy. I have noticed on most of them they come with bundled software like things called Toshiba Assist and Toshiba Disc Creator. Are these programmes already on the laptop or do they just come as a disc or something so you can choose which ones you want to install? Thanks.

i believe u can customize it on Toshiba’s website if you are buying from them but if you it from a retail store it is pre installed.

How many laptops can i bring to the airport?

Posted by admin on September 15th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 4 Comments »

is there a limit on how many laptops you can bring on your luggage?
like will they ask for a permit or something if you exceed this number of laptops?
i’m planning on buying 5 laptops for my friends back in the philippines… do you think the airport officials will allow me to put these laptops in my luggage?

The above answers are good, there is no limit to how many laptops you can carry with you, you might want to insure anything you put in your check-in bags as the general rule of travel is "if you value something, carry it on, and don’t check it in." I had a friend who had his laptop stolen from a check-in bag. You may have a problem when you get to the Philippines with the customs inspectors, I’m sure customs would require you to pay duty on 5 laptops that you plan on leaving in the Philippines, just be aware of that, whether you want to declare them or not is none of my business.
