What are the pros and cons of buying a refurbished computer?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under refurbished pc | 1 Comment »

I’m thinking of buying a new pc but I’m on a very tight budget. I have been following the prices of new and refurbished computers for about 6 months now and the current prices are the lowest I’ve seen so far. Just checked prices at Fry’s.com and Bestbuy.com. Fry’s has a lot of refurbished pc for a really good price. The question is, is it worth buying a refurbished pc? Obviously I don’t know the answer to that so I’m asking you smart pc consumers for advice.
Please tell me what are the pros and cons of buying a refurbished pc and at what price range would you recommend buying a refurbished pc? Also would you even recommend buying it over a new system?

Refurbished PC’s usually have less of a warranty. However, they usually cost less AND are usually (depending on who does the refurbishing) more thoroughly tested prior to your using them.

New PC’s generally have a better (longer) warranty and you can get support directly from the manufacturer. New PC’s (especially Dell and HP) also ship with complete Operating System restore disks so if you ever need or want to completely restore your computer to factory new software, it is a relatively easy process. Sometimes refurbished PC’s include these disks, sometimes not.

If the savings is only 10% or less, I would buy new. If the savings is 25% or more, I would buy refurbished. If the savings is somewhere inbetween those amounts, you need to weigh your options.

What is the difference in a refurbished cell phone and one thats not?

I want the samsung impression but i saw that the refurbished one was cheaper so is there any difference between them?
should i get it refurbished or not?

refurb phones are a great deal they are phones that are sent back to the company. they are givin new face plates so they look new and they fix any internal problem that they may or may not of had. Basicly you are getting a brand new phone. They still come with warentys just shorter

How can i transfer my songs from my ipod touch into my laptops itunes library?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under laptops | 8 Comments »

So, i have all my songs in my itunes library on my desktop but it got infected with a virus so everything has to be wiped out. I’m just wondering how i can transfer my songs from my ipod touch into my laptops itunes. Is there any way to do this with all my songs even the ones that i didn’t buy from itunes? Any free and easy programs i can use?

You can use an extra tool to solve this problem. Its name is 4Videosoft iPod to Computer Transfer. I have been using it for a period. It helps you transfer music, songs, videos from iPod to Computer directly when you want to backup your iPod files to Computer.
You can free download it on the following website to have a try.
