I want to do drawings on a computer. So I am looking for a pen tablet laptop or a Monitor that I can plug into my PC. I dont want one of the USB pen mousepads, or something that I just attach onto my current monitor. What are some cheap options for doing this, and would it be better to get the monitor or the Laptop?
By cheap, I am looking for something $400-$600, but I might spend up to $1000.

something with microsoft. I go to craigslist to shop and when I try to send a letter it will not go thru now and it will hit 80 to 90 windows all at once. Whats the name of the program I need to buy when I go to the store?? (I have I believe a 2006 desktop dell) Not a laptop.
for virus and firewall a decent product is nortons antivirus.
if you are looking for a free version AVG is one of the best
i also suggest getting ccleaner witch well delete unwanted files and registry errors.
p.s nortons 2009 antivirus cost about $89.99

It’s a celeron, it’s a light duty chip, not good for gaming. There is no video card, also not good for gaming. This one has a better CPU, but still no video card. Adecent card will run you about 100.00

I have an e-Machines T6532, these are very cheap computers made by Gateway for the retail market. It is sitting on the floor, unused.
If you look hard, you can build your own entry level gaming rig for about 615.00, but this bare minimum in my opinion. The first link has an 800.00 gaming rig on it suitable for a first time builder.

Hope that this will help. If you use the OS out of the fried computer, you could do it for about 525.00. These are the parts I was looking at, one note, the PSUs that come with a case are not usually good quality.

I am NOT saying go buy these parts, I would have to spend a little more time making sure they are 100% compatible. This is just an example. This does have a video card with it, and I dont think I missed anything.
Good luck
I was just wondering because if the 3rd Generation is going to be too expensive and the 2nd Generation refurbished goes down, i’ll get that one.
well you should try to wait till the 3rd gen comes out. then you could compare the prices and the features but yes the refurbished one would be cheaper. but just be patient and don’t buy it from a shop that you don’t really trust. HOPE THIS HELPS!
I recently brought a phone and went into the metro pcs plan. My father and I signed up for the international calling, however, whenever my father tries calling to Bangladesh, it doesn’t work. It just keeps ringing. Has anyone called Bangladesh using the metro pcs plan?
yah now it doesn’t even ring anymore. it worked the first few weeks
words been going around it was just a scam to try and sell all the phones that no1 bought but it could also be a rumor and some technical thing they are trying to fix o well i hope i helped and you should contact metropcs
The only companies that make quad core desktops that are affordable and iBuyPower and Velocity Micro. Velocity Micro is barely affordable. But quad core chips are $299 for a 2.4 GHZ chip, so cheap.
Nobody really wants to fry eggs on their desktops at this time.
Basically quad core is struggling massively with 2 things
1. As the first line in my answers suggests - they are hot little bunnies! In a commercial dataroom this isn’t much of an issue as they tend to be air conditioned and super cool anyway - at home in your bedroom under a desk they become a neat way of making an insurance claim.
2. Home software just isn’t designed to take advantage of even dual core in a big way let alone quad. The applications and OS need to know HOW to get at the additional processing power otherwise there really is just no performance advantage.
We’ll see them in time - but to be perfectly frank I would rather run a dual board with dual GPU than spend the money on quad cores
I’ve noticed the macbooks our preety good, but don’t contain the same graphics power as other simirlarly priced notebooks.
Yeah, for around the same price, you can get a Dell XPS gaming laptop. The macbook is pretty good, but has a crappy integrated card with shared memory.
For around the same price, you can get a Dell XPS notebook with an 8600GT with 256mb of dedicated memory. The XPS is a much better deal
My laptop is vista and my desktop is XP. Laptop is wireless and I have a wireless internet connection that is run through a router with the desktop…How can i get my laptop to share the printer? Do I need more equipment to do this? Can this be done with 2 different OS’s? Please help!
You donot need any more gadgets…
make sure the printer is connected to the network and have a valid ipaddress
In the main computer where the printer is installed, just go to the Printer folder inside of Control Panel. Right click your All in one printer and then Click Sharing. Click on Share this printer in the window that opens and then hit OK.
Get the IP address of your computer, go to Start, Run, type "cmd" enter, type "ipconfig" enter. Write down where it says "Local Area Connection" IP address: "numbers with dots". After this, move to the computer without a printer.
In the other computer, go to Start, Run, type "\\ipaddress\" where ipaddress are the numbers of the 1st computer. When a windows opens asking for a user name and password input those credentials from your computer. If it doesn’t ask it will be even better. Now with this command you will open a folder and the printer will be there. Double click the printer and now the 2nd computer will be able to use it.
BTW, both computers have to be in the same WORKGROUP. to check this: Right click My Computer icon on the desktop, go to properties, Computer name tab. There you can see the WORKGROUP name and even change it.
My friend’s laptop can get a strong connection with wireless internet signals that my laptop struggles to connect to at all, or drops after a few seconds. What is that feature called and how do I identify laptops for sale that have it?
you can buy an antenna for the laptop or a card to boost performance
