I need to know what a pretty cheap laptop is, that can run World of Warcraft very easily. I need to recommend a fairly cheap laptop to my parent, since they are buying me one for school next year. Keep in mind I live in Canada and I would like to know what the laptops name is precisely. Details don’t hurt either.
There are many laptops which are cheap and plus also fits in your requirements.
I will recommend you that you can get a good refurbished laptop which will be really nice and great in terms of money as well as in terms of specifications.
Just have a look at the website mentioned below from where you can purchase a refurbished laptop and get more info about refurbished laptops
I know I can use ebay but does anyone else know any good websites to get a cheap laptop. One laptop that seems to be a viable option for me is the dell latitude d420 and I am trying to find a good definite source under $200. Any answers or suggestions help. Thanks.

My old laptop I have is starting to die on me and it’s time for an upgrade. But I’m a student in college right now, and money is pretty tight. I need a cheap laptop that will be good for simple things like Microsoft Word and connecting to the internet. I don’t even care if the laptop is refurbished, I just need something basic.
I’d recommend a Hewlett Packard (HP) or a Toshiba laptop, because they both have good laptops for a small price.
If you’re getting an HP, then you should see the Pavilion series (dv6, dv7) or the Compaq series (Compaq 600, 610, 6720, 6730).
If you’re getting a Toshiba, then go for the Satellite series (A300, P500, P300, A500).
There are also good and cheap Samsung, Acer and Asus laptops.
Hope this helped!

My Sister bought a cheap laptop, and it doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive. Is there any way to install programs onto the Computer. I’m thinking an external CD Drive, but do they work like that?
Thank you.
You can buy an external USB CD or DVD drive.
Or you can use a program like unetbootin to create a bootable flash drive from an iso image of a CD
In your case, an external USB DVD would probably be best. Get one that has an onboard battery, many netbooks don’t have enough current on the USB ports to properly power many external USB CD/DVD drives. Plextor makes a good one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827249034
I need a cheap laptop that can surf the net and play games like COD MW2. Will a netbook with a (external?) CDROM drive work? Are the graphics good enough? I’m limited on $$$.
There are a few laptops under $500 that will be ideal for you. What I’ll suggest is
that you also get an external hard drive and store most of your stuff outside the laptops
hard drive and you’ll be fine.
check http://www.laptopforcheap.net they have some laptops that will meet your needs
Acer, Asus, HP
Good luck
I am looking for a cheap laptop that runs WoW. My budget is 400-500 dollars. I will mainly play WoW and maybe games like Garry’s mod, and CCS.
If you put $300 - $350 I can recommend ASUS F50. A laptop with good gaming capacibility currently costs $750 - $800 or above …
I am just about to start at University this fall, and my current laptop is kinda old and won’t even close anymore. I will need to take my laptop to the library and stuff, so I will need something that transports easily. My old laptop is a DELL, so obviously I am not so sure about getting another one of those. Also, as a college student, I would appreciate something on the cheaper side. THANK YOU!
HOLD ON DONT LISTEN TO ABOVE
I think those above have the right track. I beleive a netbook would be find, but you can do better for either only $300 or $500. Please look into the TOSHIBA L305 it is only $300, and is better then a netbook, it has a bigger screen, better video, and alot more. If you can spend more, say 500, then don’t look anywhere else but the Asus K50IJ. Both are great, I’m writing on the Toshiba now
I’m looking for a cheap laptop, something of good quality, but at a low price. Any suggestions.
You could try eBay or Amazon.
I write a ton and so i need a LOT of storage space and a comfortable keyboard. I also have and listen to a lot of music. Oh, and i need something kind of cheap (under $500-600) but still a little nice looking.
Look at these: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/home.to
I have two Toshiba Satellite lap tops and they have been great.
